Network Marketing - How to Play the Numbers Game Without Losing Your Friends

Network Marketing, like most sales orientated businesses, is often referred to as being a business of numbers, or a numbers game. But what does this really mean and how can you increase your numbers to increase your overall success?
When we describe Network Marketing as being a numbers game we mean that once you have devised a prospecting and sponsoring process, the more people you speak to, the more people you will sponsor. You will generally have a fairly consistent conversion rate from the number of people you speak to, to your number of genuinely interested prospects and equally you will probably have a consistent conversion ratio from interested prospects to signups. Therefore it should be apparent that the more people you speak to, the more people will partner you!
If you are building your business using the traditional word-of-mouth tactics associated with Network Marketing then this can be easier said than done. Finding more people to speak to is usually achieved by purchasing leads (which generally yields poor results), or by speaking to anyone and everyone who comes within 3 feet of you (the 3 feet rule)! This has never been something I have been comfortable doing, as I don't want people to cross the road when they see me coming the other way!
With the Internet playing such a huge part in most people's lives today there is an alternative: Have you ever considered developing an online system to generate your own leads? In actual fact, there is far more you can do using an online system, to not only generate leads, but also to qualify those prospects, educate them and even sponsor them without ever communicating one-on-one with them.
Imagine the benefits of focusing on developing such a system: Once you have built your own capture page, which you know will encourage prospects to sign up to your mailing list, you can begin to circulate information to educate your subscribers. As you can educate everyone who requests information with no further time commitment on your part, you will have more time to respond to prospects who contact you to ask their own questions. By answering their questions, demonstrating your knowledge and highlighting the benefits of your business, there will come a time when those prospects are ready to join you in your business.
When you get your first sign up using your system you will know categorically that it works perfectly! So, the final piece in the process is to drive a larger volume of interested prospects to your landing page using a range of Internet Marketing strategies.
I am going to go out on a limb by guessing that there will come a time very quickly when you will be communicating with more people each day using this approach than you will by talking to everyone who makes eye contact with you in a given day! The best part is that your friends and family will still feel safe when answering your phone calls, as you will no longer feel the need to harass them!

Royal Cruise Matrix - The Difference is the Boards

There are many MLM programs that have emerged in the second half of 2009 that feature a two by three matrix format. There seems to always be an ebb and flow in the type of programs that are "hot" online. The matrix programs are very popular at this time, and that appears to be a trend that will continue into 2010.
Many of the programs have "splitting boards", where a completed board will split and spawn off two new boards in the process. In the two by three matrix configuration, both people in the "row of two", move to the top of new boards. This splitting process allows for rapid progression on boards where the teams are active and sponsoring people on a regular basis. It also allows for stagnation and fragmentation of teams as the splitting process occurs over and over again. As in any compensation plan, there are pros and cons to the structure.
A relatively new program, Royal Cruise Matrix has opened for business, and has designed their compensation plan to avoid the board splitting that is an issue for some of the other two by three matrix programs found online. I will cover some of the important aspects of the Royal Cruise Matrix board configuration and flow.
1. There is no splitting of boards -- The boards on RCM fill top to bottom, left to right. The boards have levels of two, four, and eight on the three levels of the matrix. Once the sponsor has filled these fourteen positions, he will move to the Tier 2 board and will be awarded a "re-entry" position in a new Tier 1 board. The matrix is filled by the work of the sponsor and the people on the board. There is more predictability of who will fill the board, but less chance of random "spillover" in this no splitting model.
2. There is a follow me built in -- When you sponsor a new member, they will follow you to the Tier 2 and Tier 3 boards when they cycle. This provides members an incentive to assist their sponsored members in succeeding in filling their Tier 1 matrix. This is a big advantage for active sponsors, as they will have a lot of people following them as they grow their teams.
3. Each of the boards is a two by three structure -- The two by three matrix structure is consistent throughout the three tiers of the program. Once you have a following and they are cycling from one tier to the next, you can predict what your team will look like in the upper tiers of the program. Most members joining Royal Cruise Matrix with a strong desire to earn the $5000 and $25,000 cycling payouts for Tier 2 and Tier 3 respectively. With all three Tiers of the program having the same structure, it makes planning for these higher paydays a much easier task than with the random nature of the "splitting board" programs.
4. There is variable compensation for the first and subsequent cycles -- The first time you cycle the Tier 1 Matrix, you will be paid $100. Each subsequent cycle will generate a $500 payout. The first time you cycle the Tier 2 Matrix, you will be paid $500. Each subsequent cycle will generate a $5000 payout. Every cycle of Tier 3 will generate a $25,000 payout. The lower payout for the first cycle on Tiers 1 and 2 is one of the portions of the pay plan I am not excited about. I view it as part of the "breakage" in the compensation plan. The RCM compensation plan has pros and cons like any compensation plan. The variable compensation for the first two tiers is one of the cons in my opinion.
5. There is no sponsoring required -- You can join RCM and you do not have to sponsor anyone. This is not a recommended approach, as your boards will fill by your activity and the activity of your team. If you have aspirations to earn a $5000 and eventually a $25,000 payday, I highly recommend you enter the program and share it with others. This will allow you to cycle the boards much more quickly than a passive approach.
6. Multiple cycles are permitted on each Tier -- Members are permitted to cycle over and over again on all three tiers. This is advantageous to serious marketers that plan on bringing a large number of people into Royal Cruise Matrix. This feature allows members to earn decent sized paydays as they work their way to the large payday at Tier 3.
Royal Cruise Matrix is a well thought out and well put together program with a modest $100 entry fee. I can easily recommend it to marketers that are willing to roll their sleeves up and get to work. It will take a while to generate a team, but the pay plan is simple to understand and can be quite lucrative for active members.

Internet MLM Marketing - The Three Strategies and How to Choose the Right One For You

If you want to replace an income or make your fortune in an MLM opportunity you have to be online. Internet MLM marketing is a very competitive game, and very few people really know how to do it properly. It's important that you not only learn how to market your business online properly, but also how to stand out from the crowd. Admittedly, with a bit of good training this shouldn't be too hard, as so few people really know what they're doing online. But as more and more MLM/Network Marketers learn to use the internet to grow their business you don't want to get left behind.
If you want to be successful in internet MLM marketing you have to STAND OUT. This is not always as easy as it sounds, but if you tailor your strategies to play to your natural strengths you may find this gets easier and easier.
What Type of Marketer Are You?
There are generally three different types of personalities online. You may have noticed that it is the people who are trying to implement every strategy at once who are failing, and the people who become specialists in one area actually manage to stand out and become top earners in their MLM company.
Techies - These are the people who understand the technical side of things. They are generally good at crunching numbers, making websites, analyzing statistics. These people can do a lot of things your average person can't online just because of their knowledge, however they likely don't connect as well on social sites. If you are a techie you should focus on technical advertising such as Google Pay per click, ezine solo ads, etc. Analyze your results and tweak your campaigns accordingly. These people are generally best at driving traffic and really playing the numbers game rather than trying to connect one on one.
Creators - People who like to create content. This is often articles and videos. These people like to think about concepts and ideas, and often love to write. They are confident in their work and ability to help others through the content they produce. If you are a creator you are best off doing article or video marketing. Drive traffic to your website with your articles and connect to others by giving them content they can apply to their lives or business right away. These people will see you as a leader and want to work with you.
Social Animals - These are the people who hang out on social sites like Facebook and Twitter. They can spend endless hours connecting and talking to others online. Usually these people have one social network that they prefer and will check it more often than they check their personal email. They keep up with what's going on and people can see they are consistent in their message online. If this is you than stick to your strength. Pick one social network and dedicate yourself to growing your connections and fostering them through personalized contact, help, and support. Add new friends and followers daily, but make sure to keep up with the old ones.
How do you know which one you are?
Most of you will have some idea already of what type of personality you are. If you don't know, simply look at what you enjoy doing in your spare time. Do you spend hours talking to your friends on facebook? Do you write a personal blog or long personal emails? Do you enjoy analyzing results and learning how to use new programs and software? What do you do in your spare time online? Now take that and figure out where you fit in the three personality types so you can tailor your internet MLM marketing to fit you and start to achieve massive success.
Decide which area is your strength, LEARN everything you can so that you can specialize in that area, and then be consistent in your efforts.
The next step is to learn everything you can about the Internet MLM Marketing strategy you have chosen so you can DOMINATE it. The best place to start in your specific training is with access to the free internet marketing training center at Network Power PRO from industry expert Niamh Arthur.

Network Marketing MLM Training - What is a Lead?

When it comes to making sales with your MLM program, you have to have people to talk to. In network marketing we tend to call those people either leads or prospects. Most marketers will use them interchangeable.
But what is a Lead?
A network marketing lead or a prospect is someone that has expressed the need for your MLM product or service.
When you got started in your MLM program, you may have been told that everyone had a need for your product/service. The fact of the matter is that even IF everyone could benefit by using your MLM product, not everyone will WANT your product. So, I guess the next question we should answer is:
How do you find Qualified Prospects?
Before we can answer that question, we first have to define your target market. Let's say that you belong to network marketing program whose main product helps people to lose weight. You may think that your target market is everyone that is overweight but that wouldn't be correct. Let's face it - not every overweight person wants to do what it takes to lose weight.
So, in this case, you may want to narrow your focus to people that are overweight and have done something to tell you that they want to lose weight. You can even take it further by looking at the age, and gender of your target market. Oh, and you probably want to make sure that they can afford your MLM product as well. Once you have defined who your target market is, then you can ask yourself "where" you find your qualified prospects.
As far as the "where" to get your leads go, you have a lot of options available to you. If you listen to the network marketing MLM training that your company provides you with, you will probably be asked to take some time to write a list of everyone that you know and then to go and share with those people what it is you are doing. This technique is usually okay at getting you one or two customers.
After you have prospected the people that you know, it's time to look for qualified prospects that you don't know. There are many options available to you to use both Online and Offline. You can go to trade shows where you may find your target market. You can set up a website and drive traffic that site. You can contact a lead broker and buy leads. There really way too many options to list them all here.
Finding qualified leads is only part of the equation for a successful home based business. There is a lot more to making sales than just talking to people. If you find yourself struggling to make sales, you may need more network marketing MLM training than your company can provide you.

The Essential Components of a Successful MLM Business Online!

Do you want to know how to get started in online marketing? Are you a seasoned online marketer, but feel that something is holding you back? Well, this article is for you.

I know that Internet marketing can be very complicated, especially to the beginner. There is too much information available! I am going to try to cut a path through all the confusion in this article.

If you have been marketing online for a while, five of these essential elements will be very familiar to you. However, the sixth element that I will discuss has the ability to make or break you when it comes to business success, and it is often underestimated.

I will begin by explaining the first five elements:

1. A list - You'll want to start by building a list of prospects to market about your business. I want to emphasize the importance of marketing or promotion. You will need to understand how to promote your business online. Because there are so many marketing methods online, you will want to focus on one at a time until you master it.

2. A website - You need a customizable website with your picture, story, and maybe your video.

3. A sales funnel - The funnel is a process of offering tools and education to solve the challenges your prospects are facing. Your prospects will see you as a leader because you provide solutions to them, and this will help you build relationships with them. This industry is about relationship-building. Your sales funnel will help you help your prospects. This is a funded proposal strategy (creating multiple streams of income), and all master marketers use this type of strategy.

4. A system - You need a system that will help you market your business and train your new people effectively. This system will leverage your time and your energy by allowing you to simply plug your new distributors into it.

5. A primary opportunity - You need the system to introduce your prospects to your primary opportunity in a non-threatening manner, after they have been in your sales funnel long enough to appreciate the solutions you provide.

The sixth element, the one that is often overlooked and underestimated, is what I call "self work".

We need to work on ourselves, not just our businesses, to be successful. Some people may say we need to work even harder on ourselves because that effort will have a direct impact on our business success.

What does "self work" mean?

--Self work includes daily work on maintaining the right way of thinking. Do you have limiting beliefs? Is your success in business being limited by a poverty mentality? The more you continue "self work", the more valuable you will be to your team.Always strive to increase your value to others.

"Try not to become a man of success, but rather try to become a man of value." -- Albert Einstein.

In short, for online marketing success, you need a system that:

--offers a brandable website.
--allows you to offer value to your list and create multiple streams of income for you.
--presents your primary opportunity to your prospects in a non-threatening manner and trains your new distributors.

To be successful marketing online, be sure to commit fully to your online marketing system.

You can get all of these benefits from one system--the system I use.

Do You Have Time to Build Your MLM Internet Business Opportunity?

Because of the internet and online opportunities more people than ever before have the ability to make a good income with an MLM business.

The internet is how the MLM industry continues to chug right along despite the negative connotation that "MLM" seems to have. It has given the industry new life which it really is taking advantage of.

However many people will still fail with their online MLM business opportunity for one main reason. They will not spend the necessary time it takes for that success. And that's a shame because MLM can be worked so much more efficiently than the MLM of the past.

Because of the recruiting process, and the time involved with meetings, it was very difficult for the masses to achieve success in the traditional non-internet MLM. To be successful one really had to spend an enormous amount of time at least initially.

But now those methods are obsolete. But one still has to put in the time- but in a different and more effective manner today- use the internet:

Discovering a company- their products/services and compensation plan- that is best for you is easier now than ever before due to instant access to information via the internet. If you can find a company that is a good fit for doing business online you're off to a good start.

One that provides you with websites to market yourself and the products is necessary. They also need to provide you with training and other tools- to help you get started and to assist you with building your business. Again this all needs to be able to be done online.

Being able to recruit- because of the internet you can recruit large quantities of people faster and easier than ever before. Thousands are looking each day for an opportunity. If your business offers products and a system that the masses can easily follow and make money (without having to spend a lot of money) then you have a chance of bringing in more people.

The companies provided website should give you an immediate place to direct people for information. From there you'll need to follow the proper procedures for contact. Business training should available for tips on how to do this.

When you combine the company-provide system with methods of your own you can increase your time for success dramatically. Suggestions include utilizing social media sites such as Twitter and Facebook and also taking advantage of article marketing, and blogging.
